The Smithfield Police are investigating a commercial Break & Entering at DePetrillo’s Pizza & Bakery, 105 Pleasant View Avenue. On September 22nd, at approximately 1:40 am, a male suspect was observed on surveillance walking on the sidewalk in front of Gallagher Middle School toward DePetrillo’s. At 1:57 am the suspect made entry to the business wearing a do-rag on his head, then fled on foot two minutes later, northbound on Pleasant View Ave. The suspect is described as a stocky white male, possibly late 30’s early 40’s, with a sleeve tattoo on his left arm, glasses, bald head, wearing shorts and red t-shirt. He may have a dark tattoo on his right inner forearm as well. Anyone with information is asked to contact Det. Sgt. Douglas Cerce.
