The East Providence Police Department is attempting to identify a male suspect involved in the theft of an undetermined amount of cash from the Rumford Pet Center, 865 Warren Ave., East Providence, R.I.

On Thursday, 2/13/2020, at approximately 4:15 PM, the suspect entered the business and wondered around the store for some time. He then entered the office area of the business and stole a large quantity of cash from the unlocked safe and left the store.

The suspect is described as an African American male, mid to late 40's, 5'10" tall, with a medium build. The suspect also wore glasses and a blue hooded 3/4 length "Champion" parka style jacket.
