The Providence Police Department is attempting to identify a male suspect involved in the attempted larceny of a cash register at the Alia Market located at the corners of Elmwood & Potters Ave, Providence, R.I.

The male suspect was involved in an argument with the the clerk of the store and attempted to steal the cash register.

The suspect is described as dark skinned black male, 6 feet tall about 250 lbs. who normally wears glasses. The suspect may be known as “T” and live in the area of 384 Elmwood Ave.

On 9/18/19, the Providence Police Department has arrested the suspect in this case. He is identified as:

ROBERT FRANCIS (47), with a last known address in Cranston, R.I.

He is currently at the ACI awaiting trial.
