The East Providence Police Department is attempting to identify a male suspect involved in the vandalism of a RI Lottery vending machine at the Clothes Pin Laundromat, 64 Newport Ave, in the Rumford section of East Providence, R.I.

On Saturday 6/8/19, at about 1:40 AM, the suspect retrieves a wooden stool, located next to the lottery machine, and proceeds to strike the machine with the stool. The suspect then inserted his hands into the dispensing tray and pushes the buttons with his hands.

He again attempts to utilize the radio and he returns the radio to the original location. The suspect retrieves a piece of plywood near the machine and strikes the machine with it. He again places his hands into the dispensing tray and removed lottery advertisement paper from within the machine. He was able to successfully damage and gain access to one of the display ticket holders. He removed the ticket, noticed that it was a display, and discarded the item next to the machine.
