The Rhode Island State Police are attempting to identify a male suspect who obtained money under false pretenses and conducted Bank Fraud through a manufactured false identification. On Friday, April 26, 2024, the unidentified male suspect entered the Citizens Bank branch on Cromwell Avenue in the Town of Rocky Hill, Connecticut, and identified himself using the victim's falsified Rhode Island Driver’s License with the correct name, date of birth, address, and license number. The suspect used this falsified license to withdraw money from several accounts and opened a new account in the victim’s name. The suspect appears to be a white male who appears to be approximately 40-50 years of age with gray hair.
