The Cranston Police Department is attempting to identify a suspect who robbed the Santander Bank, 555 Reservoir Ave., Cranston, R.I.

On Thursday, 1/21/21, at approximately 1:50 PM, a suspect walked into the Santander Bank and robbed the bank by passing a note to the teller. The suspect made off with an undetermined amount of cash.

On 1/23/21, and with assistance from the Providence Police Department, Cranston Police detectives have identified the suspect in this case as:

VAUGHN WATROUS (43), from Providence, R.I.

WATROUS is also wanted on outstanding warrants for robbery in Providence and North Providence.

On 1/24/21, WATROUS was captured by the Providence Police Department.
