The North Attleboro MA Police Department is attempting to identify a suspect involved in several motor vehicle thefts near the Route 1 area.
On Tuesday, 10/27/20 at approximately10:13 PM, police were called to BJ's Brewhouse, 1174 S. Washington St (near Route 1) for a report of 4 car larcenies. At the same time, there was also a report of a suspicious vehicle at the North Bowl at 71 E Washington St, a short distance away.
Witnesses at this location observed a white male suspect described as being in his 30's, approximately 5'9" to 5'10", with a beard, wearing a black face mask, white hat, black shoes, gray hoodie and jeans. The suspect was observed walking through the parking lot with a flashlight looking in several vehicles. The witnesses observed the suspect discard a backpack, which was later found to contain stolen property belonging to the theft victims at BJ's Brewhouse.
The suspect vehicle was described as an older model Lexus, dark in color, 4 door, with a sunroof and 2 red stickers attached to the upper portion of the windshield. The vehicle was bearing an unknown R.I. registration. The suspect vehicle fled the area driving northbound on Route 1 after driving over a curb.
