The Central Falls Police Department is attempting to identify 3-4 suspects involved in a shooting that took place 104 Illinois St, directly across from the Central Falls High School.

On Wednesday, at approximately 10:15 AM, 3-4 suspects were seen on the sidewalk across the street from the high school. One suspect was observed holding a handgun at eye level and discharging the firearm several times. At least 3 of the suspects, described as light skinned Hispanic males, fled on foot and possibly got into a vehicle a short distance away. The vehicle is described as a 1996-2004 Nissan Pathfinder 4 door, dark in color (possibly black), with a roof rack.

At this time, there are no known injuries and the school was placed in lock down status.

CAPTURED:

On 2/3/20, the Central Falls Police Department reports that IAN MELENDEZ (21) from Central Falls, surrendered to police.

On 2/11/20, the Central Falls Police Department reports that IZAIHA ORTIZ (20) from Providence, surrendered to police.

Investigation is continuing for the identification and capture of the 3rd suspect involved.
