The Woonsocket Police Department is attempting to identify a male suspect who committed an armed robbery at the Santander Bank, 411 Social St., Woonsocket, RI.

On Saturday, 6/18/2016, shortly after noon time, a white male suspect described as approximately 20 years of age, 5' 4" tall, with dark colored hair and beard, entered the bank. He was wearing a tan jacket over a gray hooded sweatshirt with blue jeans, gloves and sunglasses.

The suspect passed a note to a teller and implied that he had a firearm. The suspect fled the scene with the note he passed and an undetermined amount of cash.

CAPTURED:

The Woonsocket Police Department report the capture of the suspect in this case. He is identified as:

JEREMY F. LOPES (24) of Fall River, MA.

With the assistance of the Rhode Island State Police Gaming Unit, the Massachusetts State Police apprehended this suspect on 6/24/2016 in Fitchburg, MA. Woonsocket PD also wants to thank all agencies who assisted in the investigation and capture of this suspect.
