The Rhode Island State Police Violent Fugitive Task Force and the United States Marshals Service is attempting to locate a fugitive wanted for a triple homicide involving a firearm that occurred in Puerto Rico in 2014.
He is identified as:
PEDRO J. TORRES (36) with last known addresses in the Providence area and Puerto Rico.
TORRES is described as being 5'6" tall, 190 lbs (stocky), black hair and brown eyes. He has numerous tattoos on his arms, chest, back, and legs.
On Friday, August 19, 2016, authorites attempted to apprehend TORRES after a brief car chase. TORRES eventually fled from the vehicle and was last seen in the area of the Providence Train Station near Gaspee, Smith, and Canal Streets.
TORRES is also wanted on a Rhode Island Superior Court warrant for failing to appear on a charge of being a fugitive in possession of a firearm. He was last seen wearing a dark T-shirt, work boots, and shorts.
TORRES is considered ARMED & DANGEROUS. Anyone with information should not approach him and should call 911 or the Rhode Island State Police Lincoln Woods Barracks at 401-444-1100.

On 9/1/2016, the Rhode Island State Police Violent Fugitive Task Force and the United States Marshals Service have reported the capture of suspect in this case. PEDRO J. TORRES was captured in the City of Fall River, Massachusetts, with assistance from the Massachusetts State Police and Fall River Police Department.
