The Rhode Island State Police is attempting to identify a male suspect who committed a larceny from a parked vehicle in front of 45 Acorn St., Providence, and stole several items.
On Sunday, 9/18/2016, at approximately 9:20 PM, the suspect broke the passenger front window of a vehicle and stole a large canvas bag from the front seat of the vehicle. Contained inside bag was a Mac laptop, iPhone, credit/debit cards, and two check books.
The suspect was last seen fleeing towards Pleasant Valley Parkway.
CAPTURED:
The Rhode Island State Police report they have captured the suspect in this case. He is identified as:
NIKO A. PLANTE (27) of Providence, R.I.
PLANTE had been arrested by Middletown Police in September for similar theft in their jurisdiction where he also used the stolen credit cards (RIMW 160109).
Rhode Island State Police have now charged PLANTE with vandalism and larceny for this incident. He is currently being held at the ACI.
