The Rhode Island State Police are attempting to identify a suspect involved in a forgery and fraud to obtain a large amount of currency from Citizens Bank in Pawtucket, R.I.

On 8/22/17, a letter containing a personal check in the amount of $53,996.45 was hand delivered to the Cranston, Rhode Island USPS post office mailboxes located at 200 Midway Road, Cranston, Rhode Island. At an unknown point, the letter was intercepted and the Pay To The Order field of the check had been altered from stating "U.S Bank" to "U.S Bank Sheena L. Gonzalez."

On August 30, 2017 at 9:54 PM, the aforementioned check was deposited at ATM Terminal #RI1050, located at the Citizens Fairlawn, Pawtucket, Rhode Island Branch.
