The Middletown Police Department is attempting to identify a suspect involved in Identity Theft and an attempt to Obtain Money Under False Pretenses.
The victim's purse containing her drivers license, checkbook, and debit/credit cards was stolen from her vehicle in Enfield, Connecticut.
On December 18, 2017 at 2:54PM, the suspect responded to the Webster Bank in Middletown and provided the teller with the victim's drivers license and debit card. The suspect attempted to withdraw $2,700 from the victim's bank account. The suspect then attempted or completed transactions in Barrington, RI; Fall River and Somerset, MA; and Windsor, CT.
The suspect is driving a dark color Kia Sportage with no front registration plate. The suspect is a white female between 35-50 years of age with black hair wearing eye glasses.

MELONIE MAHFOUZ (40)
She is currently wanted by multiple states for fraud, forgery, and larceny. She is part of an organized group where she hads been implicated in using wigs and disguises when perpetrating similar crimes.
