March 22, 2017 - Cranston : Bank

The Cranston Police Department is attempting to identify a male suspect who committed an armed bank robbery at the TD Bank, 178 Phenix Ave., Cranston, R.I.

On Wednesday morning, 3/22/17, at approximtely 0858 hours, a masked male suspect entered the TD Bank displaying a large blue steal revolver with a wooden handle.  The suspect immediately confronted customers in the bank and told them to lay down on the floor or he would shoot them.  He then approached the tellers threatening to shoot them and demanded money.  The suspect left the bank after obtaining an undetermined amount of US currency.  The suspect was seen running westerly (away from Atwood Ave) behind the Burger King which is adjacent to the bank.

The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 5'9" tall, heavy set, wearing a knit cap, a face bandana with a skull design, sunglasses, dark jacket with a hoodie underneath, gray pants, and tan Timberland type workboots.
